I have a 1988 MJ 4-cylinder that I want to fix up as a driver. It is a base model and does not have a/c, so I want to convert it for a/c. I have the dash controls and compressor from an 87 XJ 4.0L wreck. Don't have a clue what bracketry and such I need to mount the compressor on the 4-cyl.
Does anyone have a 4-cylinder XJ or MJ from about 1987 through 1990 with a/c who can take some pics to show me where evreything mounts? The engine is currently set up with conventional vee belts -- am I going to have to replace the water pump and switch to a sepentine belt?
All useful info will be appreciated.
