Unfortunately I have an 87 XJ with the very sad peugeot(sry if spelling is wrong) transfer case with that vaccuum system plugged into it. Well I just recently bought a HP 30 with 4.56 gears and locker and it does not have that vaccuum plug on the axle. Is there a way to plug up my t-case and still be able to use the 4wd system without problems? I have tried to do searches but all I found was how to block off the axle portion, not the t-case.

The peugeot is a tranny, not a transfercase. but to answer your question...just plug the lines at the back of the case where they connect. one of the lines is the vac supply and must be plugged. the others can just sit there. you can either trace the source line up into the engine compartment and plug it, or just do it at the rear or the case. dont forget that the little part time light works off vac. , so this will be disabled unless you can figure out otherwise.

The transfer case used with the early 4.0L XJs and the disconnect axle is the same as that used with the later XJs that don't have the disconnect. You can just put a vacuum fitting cover on the transfer case port and the transfer case will work just like it always did, and just like the new ones work.
