Nice Led, sorry I did not make it down there for the excitement.
Noticeable abscence of CA loudmouths - all of a sudden.

Well, it looks like I have another reason to get back to CO now. That OCG Carnage run looks like some kind of fun. Looks like Jacobs has some "tuning" to do :D

Looks like some good stuff over there, we'll have to check it out when we come back next spring. Indy then Montrose again.

How come CO types always paint their stuff so bright colors? Are they afraid of losing their trucks in parking lots?

Yup, a little tuning. Longer rear shackles. I don't like the cage much, it's solid but shouldn't be 1.5" tube. Need some more tube on the front also, the back is solid but the front's a noodle.
I couldn't even tell it was lifting tires. It felt way more stable and balanced than any coil sprung front XJ I have driven, and more stable and lower than last year's CJ.

What do you mean, absence......we're hear. :)
Looks good, Led, nice pics. If I remember correctly, we wanted to include Penrose in this year's BOTY, but some CO XJ'er with a funny accent talked us into going to Avalanche Ranch.
Nothing wrong with Avalanche Ranch, BTW. We'd love to hit the Independance Trails next year, we just have to figure out how to do it.

Well first you let some air out of your tires, then you pull the short lever by your knee to go off-road. ;)

I walked into that one, didn't I. :)
We need to figure out a trip.....when, etc.
I'm hoping that there will be a way by late spring next year to do Surprise Canyon as part of the next BOTW, then maybe Pumpkin Eater in Stoddard Valley and a few days in JV. If not, we may come back to CO, and definitly include Penrose.
I haven't brought it up yet, but we're also due for a NAXJA event in CO next year. I'd like it to be centered in the San Juans, and those of us who want can spend a few days in Montrose, and find some time to sneak over to Indy for a day. How hot is it there in the summer?

Real hot, lots of bugs. That's why it's best by the full moon in the summer.
