e-brake

I can't seem to keep my ebrake working. I tried spinning the little star piece in the drum, but I'm afraid to keep spinning it. Can I adjust it under the vehicle by the tranny where the two lines connect?

96 2door drum brakes.

The rear brakes are adjusted with the star wheel in the drums. The e-brake is adjusted where the e-brake lines come together around the tranny. At least thats how it works on the older JEEPS. Good Luck
