What's the size of the torx bit that I need to remove the front bumper of an '88 XJ Laredo and where can I find one?

You don't need torx bolts to remove the bumper. All you need to do is take off the three bolts on each side of the frame, and it will slide off.

But if you want to remove the torx bolts. Try any auto parts store that sells tools. Just remember to get tools with a lifetime waranty. It would be a good idea to pick up a set of torx anyway. Even if you decide to go the frame mounts removle method

Bumper takes a t50 torx.

T47 under the bumper on my 96. You can normally get them off with a pair of Vise-Grips though...and then toss the Torx bolts in favor of real bolts. The bumper itself comes off with the three (15mm?) bolts on either side of the bracket though.jmplunkett2001 said:
