Anyone know of any good picture hosting, and storage sites? I'm curently using Webshots for storage which I really like, but they don't have any linking capabilitys. I'm using Photobucket for linking, but there storage options suck. I'm looking for something that offers linking (so I can post up pics on NAXJA), nice storage options, alows vitisors to slideshow pics, and dosent require others to join to see your pics.

They might I don't think I really checked. My old ISP did but it was much to be desired for. Got Road Runner now have to check it out.
EDIT: Couldn't find any thing for hosting pic on my RR. Hell I can't even figure out how to add email accounts to it.

I checked out it out, and you can only store about 250 images with them. I'm gettin 250 now for free if I decide to go paying I can get storage for 3000 on the Webshots. I just wish Webshots had hosting capabilities.

That is cool. We do have a soft limit in order to provide a quality service. People can get many more pics in the system, but that depends on the size they upload etc.
See: http://www.sb-host.com/imagehost/index.php
It is not a service we try to push. No ads or watermarks etc... But is great for some that need a stable place to host pics, personal support, and working with a fellow NAXJA Member. ;) Everybody has different needs and budgets.
Thanks for looking though. Also appreciate being pointed out by another NAXJA Member. :)

Glen I understand what you are saying about the 250 quality thing. It's just that when I go on a trail ride and get 150-200 pics I am in definit need of more storage. Of course I'm not wanting to get full res pics up, but I do want a hoster that is extreamly visitor friendly, not full of spyware (not that sb-host is), and easy for me to upload multiple images at once. I realy like how Webshots is set up with the ability to just look through albums in a catagory the intrests you, but they don't offer (that I can find anyway) hosting so I can put up pics on the board.

No worries.
Free is "free" and you get what you pay for..... usually. Ads are not too bad, most ignore them. But they have to do something... transfer is not free. Allowing pics to be posted to forums gets expensive, so many of the free places allow it for a while, the costs start adding up, then they make you go to their site to see them. Usually in hopes of clicking on their ads to make them money.
A catch 22.

Thanks for the warning on that on Glenn. I have intentions on getting a paid account as I realize I'm not going to store that many pics for free. I just want to get the most user friendly for those who would like to look at a whole album. I don't want something that makes non members sign up to see pics, or puts a bunch of spywhere & adwhere on there machines. Oh it needs to be use friendly for me to. Photobucket seems to have a bunch of spywhere mixed in with it, at least my antispy softwhere goes nuts when I'm on the sight.

I've been with SB-Hosts for about 4 years and am really pleased with the service. Also none of those damn popups you get on the so-called "free" sites. Danno

Glenn that may be my problem. I am having trouble getting a second browser to work right now. I may have some spywhere slowing it down. I've been doing a lot of recerch on a spywhere infested sight today.

There has yet to be developed an "unlimited size" hard drive. As well as "unlimited transfer". It throws up red flags for me.
I know he is popular on JU etc.... and his software is nice. But the "Unlimited" stuff is usually not a good model.
