Hey guys
Im looking for a ballpark figure for how much you would pay for some used BDS coil springs 2-3", & BDS LCA's for a 99 Cherokee.

I think the springs are about $135 new, and the LCAs $140 new.

any thoughts?

Since they hold value quite well, I'd say no more than $120 for the springs and same for the control arms.

anyone know anything about BDS full leaf packs? how do the 3.5" packs stand up against rubicon express leafs of the same height?

any input on it would be appreciated.

I have some BDS leafs (3.5" YJs) and I love them, and the warranty; lifetime no questions.

I would expect the same quality to cross over to XJ springs.

I'd pay $200 for the coils and LCAs.

i have been looking into YJ lifts and hear alot about people getting NEW springs every year...... WTF is that all about?? are they really that poor quality that they need to be replaced that often under hard use?? a warrantee is only as good as the product it's backing... i'd rather not have to worry about swapping springs every year on the trail rig... one friend of mine is incredibly hard on his BDS leafs (4.5" YJ with revolvers and Z-boxes front and rear running 37s and totally insane behind the wheel) and he really does kill his in one season.. not sure if i want that kind of maintenance to be required on my rig... i'd talk to more people BEFORE spending too much on BDS stuff that you intend to use for an extended time.. although they are likely good enough to last a long time under less extreme conditions...

if you bash on leaf springs you will need to replace them, especially with revolvers and no traction bar. it's just a fact of life. if you're not okay with that it's time for links and coils.

the BDS are great quality, I haven't been nice to mine and they are holding up great, I doubt there any that would hold up better, other than maybe Alcans or other custom springs.

This is the reason I choose to go with BDS stuff. I dont plan on beating it up too much, but some yea. I mean thats what its there for. And that warranty certainly helps.

i just sold those exact two things to a friend the other day for 150. i loved mine, rode great, flexed great, great warranty. still running the full leaf packs in the back with a shackle. ive had them for about a year and still love them. my 88 rode better with the 3" bds coils, lowers, and a 2" spacer in the front, and full packs, and shackel in the rear, than my friends 88 with a re 4.5 full leaf superflex kit, and mine accualy set higher after both had been broken in. by the way the mine flexed much better than the re kit.
