Its basically just a trim package. They were similar to the Country package in options, but I think most if not all had wood grain sides like an older Wagoneer package. No other differences as far as mechanical stuff.

I believe the Briarwood replaced the Wagoneer in the XJ line up.

They're pretty much just like the Wagoneer, just with the normal XJ/MJ headlights instead of the 4 light setup Wagoneer setup. My sister's is not much different than a Country/Classic/Limited/Whatever of the same 84-96 body other than the wood stickers down the sides and around the back.
