quick lockright question - 98XJ Front

ready to purchase a lockright for my 98 XJ for the front, what should i be looking for? i know its a D30 there, but is there anymore info i would need when purchasing one?

also, from what i have read on the site and from SEARCHING(yes i did) i understand that this locker will not "work" when in 2WD and will work in 4wd. Could someone confirm that?

in 2wd there wont be any power going there so it wont "work" it will ratchet and make noise but that is all. you have a hp but i dont think that matters. i put one in my 99, really easy quick install. www.rocky-road.com is where i ordered mine, bout hte cehapest i could find
