I think it was Dog's brother that said, if he didn't find this one guy fast, within 30 days, the courts will keep his $10k.
what exactly does a bounty hunter do?

Find bond violators and bring them in. They collect a bounty (percentage of the bond amount) for recovery.

Indeed, this is true. I love his huge can of pepper.
We use firearms around here for that kind of work. ;)

Bounty hunters have one big advantage, they can go out of state to recover a bail jumper and not have to go thru the extadition thing. IOW, drive from calif to some other state, grab him/her, throw them in your trunk and drive back to calif. Some times you get cooperation from local LE, sometimes not.

I used to work with a "Bail Enforcement Agent", some things to think about though, -
there are a few states that outlaw bounty hunters, ( florida and kentucky to name two) so if you are tracking someone to any of those states, you gots to be very very quiet!!
- bounty hunters do not need a warrant or paper work, except the paper from the bondsman, to go after their mark. they can legally enter any house or property to apprehend the person. However, local PD usually are upset if they are not notified of these operations. So sometimes you gotta walk a fine line.

All true. No warning, just identify and tackle, lol. MANY are just DUI folks who failed to show for court or take care of their stuff. Can make $100 a pop on those ones and most don't fight it out.
Grab some buddies and get your **** together before going after the real violent ones... Can get some HUGE bounties on those guys, but it's not without the risks. Have known guys to take big-time folks down, earning $20k apiece (4 or 5 guys). Different situations warrant different size posses. :D
But you're right...places cops can't go and things that cops can't do. Gotta LOVE IT.

If it wasn't for his "plus-sized" wife and his ridiculous "prayer circles", I could ALMOST watch this show.

I agree... I can only tolerate it when there's absolutely nothing else on.
Like last night, I could not sleep, so it was either this show or "Love is in the Heir" on E!

You could always catch "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy". It's helped my personal grooming and wardrobe tremendously.
It's super!

Do you know the glory that is TiVo? I watch the shows I like, when I want to watch them. It lets me get other things done some nights during the week (like work on all my friggin' vehicles that seem to break down at once.)

I heard the hype about always getting his man. Well, he is on a VERY small island, so hard can it be! I wasn't very impressed with his bunch.

Hell, I can't prove who it is but I've already had a post deleted in the NW forum. All I did was suggest that someone relax if they couldn't take what they dished out.

Is that DEJA VU' in or around Louisville KY? If so...I've been there..LOL. A group of about 5 of us got stranded there at about 4am....and the neighborhood is so rough/bad that the cabbies wouldn't come there after midnight ... LOL. Anyways....it turned into quite the fiasco.
As for bounty Hunters...I used to know this little bitty old dude....he was in his 60's and he weighed like a buck-sixty...soaking wet..who was one. He did however pack a rather large peacemaker (Ruger Super Red-Hawk 44 Magnum w/a 9 3/8"s barrel) .... but I don't think he was allowed to use it or take it with him when apprehending suspects. I haven't seen him in a long time so....he probably starved to death or came up missing or something !
