need to get rid of canister style driveshaft

what is a good swap to get rid of this crappy driveshaft. I have on my third one and need something stronger. What mods would I have to do to swap to a different driveshaft in the front. 213 tranfer case and a d30 front axle. any info would be helpful. thanks.

213? You probably mean 231, but if you have a CV front frveshaft, you should have a 207 transfer case. Same difference.

You need to just buy a driveshaft out of a later year Cherokee, and change the front flange on the transfer case output to a yoke. Someone here wrote this up quite some while ago. Might have been Ghost.

not a 231 tranfer. it is a 209. old tranfer case was a 219. any difference in the swap you mentioned?
