SKAMANIA COUNTY - It appears Mt. St. Helens is having some sort of eruption. Video from our sister station in Portland, Oregon shows a plume moving off to the east/northeast. We are working on getting more details and have live coverage right now on KOMO 4 News.

I can't seem to find news on any channel covering anything else.
Does this latest eruption mean we're going to be blanketed in ash again? I just finished washing my deck!

The webcam is almost always up. However, it is dark here now.... so ya would not see much. Clouds are coming in, though they predict clearing tomorrow afternoon... but ya know how that goes. ;)

I download images from time to time, but it was down the last day or so. Looks like they got it back up this afternoon so hopefully there are some neat images.
Since Glenn is posting I guess Washington and Oregon are still there. :(

Alive and well over here
Quite a show it put on but Im too worried about it, havent been outside yet to see if theres an ash coating on the hoods but it sounds like the ash is heading in the northern direction toward randal. Now this is all we will be hearing about for the next week.

That's just not right :laugh3: . . .-16*F here with the wind chill. Only nice thing about the 50 mph winds last night was that it blew all the snow to Boston. Hardly had to clean the XJ off at all to take the wife to work.

Maybe we could do a deal on genuine Vermont highway black ice. Very thin. We could roll it up and sell it by the yard. There's a really good supply right now. Special rates apply for route 22A, however, if you want the glass and bone fragments removed first.
