Alright, i have a ford 8.8 in the back of my rig and i just got a open carrier for the axle and right know i'm not sure if i should just get it welded or put a lunch box locker in like a lock right or EZ locker. i've heard that lock rights and EZ lockers will lock right up going around turns whenever you hit the gas, causing the rearend to jerk around pretty bad. what would you guys do?

I've got a Detroit locker in the back of my XJ and have yet to have it jerk around in a corner like you are describing. I hardly notice the thing when I'm driving around. The EZ or Lockright should act very similar to the Detroit so I don't see that as being an issue. Shorter wheel base vehicles might have more issues with that tho.

Well welded would be worse than any locker would ever be, and if you hve to pay to have it welded then It might be cheaper to run the EZ locker. Either way you will need to change your driving style to compensate for the rear being more ridgid
