really crappy on street, decent in rocks... i say decent because they make better rock crawling tires, such as, MTR's, IROKS, Xterrains, BFG... i would only recommend boggers on a trailer queen.

boggers are for mud, mud bogs
they can be made to work decently on the rocks with grooving, but will never work well on the street.

UMMM divide the above comments in half. better on street but not worth much over all, like he said trailer queen material.

Thorntirds is the nickname the the thornbirds got around here - they suck as a mud terrain, they have stiff lugs that dont form to rocks well that are too close together, and flap like an SOB on the street.
Boggers have no side traction - so if you never get sideways - then your fine...

They work the same as boggers, except for the "good in mud and OK on rocks" part.

This statement is priceless! IM guessing a mall cruiser huh? A real wheeler dont care much about looks give me performance. Frank Loyd Wright said it best.
"FORM FOLLOWS FUNCTION" If ya want it to look and perform like a mall crawler then go get the poser tires

NO, seriously I had seen guys running Boggers and TSL and such in Moab and I was just curious how well they worked.
This would be a mall poser.

No, he isn't posing at anything. He is what he is. I give him credit for that.
A poser is someone who pretends to be something he isn't.
IOW, an XJ with 6" of lift, fake beadlocks, and 35" Thornbirds that never see dirt.

Go with the Baja Claws. I ran them when they first came out. They didn't wear that great( about 10,000 miles to 25% and then I sold to a kid who put about 10,000 more on them way into the cords ) but they looked cool and didn't work to bad off road. I never see them around here so if you don't see them there buy em and be different.

I have heard of people turning these tires around when offroad.
Did you ever try this?
Was traction greatly improved???

mtrs are best on road and rock in my opinion....but I run IROks and they are a good tire on the road and rocks too. Boggers suck for any sidehill situation, you just slip off the rocks and they are terrible on the road. Don't even consider thornbirds they are by far on of the worst tires.

Good lookin' rig... except for those ugly MTR's. They give it that awful, functional look!
