hack and tap helper?

Just saw this tool that's for cutting bicycle forks and wondered if it could be employed to cut a transfer case output shaft. Don't know how thick the output shaft is though. This goes between 1" and 1 1/4"

my masking tape and skil saw worked just fine. why buy another non needed tool?

Use a 4.5" grinder with a cut off wheel. This tool will prove to be more useful in the long run than that bicycle dingaling.

grinder is not as safe and alot harder to control.

I actually put tape on the output shaft, aligned the skil saw straight, started the jeep and put it into drive. the output shaft spins and I put the skil saw blade to the shaft and viola perfect cut in about 30 seconds!
