it say its great of fenders that have been cut to fit over-size tires.

Won't work.

See where it says "lip mount"? Look at the pictures.

When you trim your fenders, you won't have a lip. You'll have a sharp edge. Whitney does (or did) also have one model of that stuff that was surface mount and which might work for you, but none of the ones in your link are the surface mount variety.

I used door edge protector, can be bought in spools of 25' at pepboys. clips right on the cut body edges. looks real purty too

That's the one that will work. What you'll find is that the profile will change at the two upper "corners" of your flares, if you follow the Jeep trapezoidal profile. Where the bend radius gets tighter at the corners, the rubber flare will poke out a bit more than the rest of the flare.

so i should make it more of a curve? like an YJ back flare?
