O.K., last week my Jeep (1996 Cherokee Sport, 4.0L, Auto, 4X4) died while driving back from Lake Tahoe. So far, I have checked the relays, and listened for the fuel pump, and everything checked out. Then I checked for spark, and nothing. So I took out the coil and had it checked at Auto Zone, and according to them it checked out fine. Next, I decided that it must be the crankshaft position sensor, expecially after reading so many threads about it going out all the time, so now, after replacing it, the engine still will crank but not fire. However, now I am getting engine trouble codes 12, 54, and 56. I know what 12 is, but don't know what the other two are. If anyone has any suggestions I'm all ears.
