My check engine light came on yesterday. I had it checked and code P0443 came up.
According to troublecodes.net:
"Evaporative Emission Control System Purge Control Valve Circuit Malfunction"
Can anyone explain this in English? What should I check to find the problem?
Thanks.

P0443 is an open or short condition detected in the EVAP purge solenoid control circuit.

Gas cap should set code P0442: leak in the EVAP system.

Fuse 10 (15A) in the Junction Block (Fuse panel), or a bad solenoid or a bad wire.

Source:01XJ FSM.

Should be easy to find, not much in the system. unless you have a CA emissions model with leak detection pump, but that should still set code P0442 if leaking.

BTW the purge solenoid is also called the Duty Cycle Purge (DCP) solenoid.

Thanks,
I'll check those out. I need to get a FSM so I can know what I'm looking for.
I checked lines to the evap can but nothing was obvious as far as cracks/leaks, etc.
