If the crankshaft position sensor went out would I still be getting spark?

No, not with Renix. Dunno jack 'bout newer models but I don't think so. The cam position sensor under the distributor rotor can foul-up the injection system so that might be worth a look? Spray some starting fluid down the intake and see if it pops.

Same thing with the newer models. Bad CPS = no spark.
