Was looking at some trivia this morning and was reminded of that fact that Mr. Big Wind(y) has been mum of late. Figured this would be a good place to inquire: Anyone care to speculate on this rare phenomena?
What trivia you ask? :D
The Washington Post's Mensa Invitational dictionary competition: - take any word from the dictionary, alter it by adding, subtracting, or changing one letter, and supply a new definition.
The one that had NAXJA overtones:
Beelzebug (n.): Satan in the form of a mosquito, that gets into your bedroom at three in the morning and cannot be cast out.
Then again, there were a few more that could apply to these Forums and could have easily been coined by the aforesaid buzzing irritant:
Bozone (n.): The substance surrounding stupid people that stops bright ideas from penetrating. The bozone layer, unfortunately, shows little sign of breaking down in the near future.
Dopeler effect: The tendency of stupid ideas to seem smarter when they come at you rapidly.
Ignoranus (n.): A person who's both stupid and an asshole.
Sarchasm (n.): The gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the person who doesn't get it. (A common Mr. B condition).
