Since vietnam I consider most media types to be two steps down from personal injury lawyers. Luckily for me in that time period I never had to travel into a liberal city and always flew back into sandiego or honolulu and when I came back east it was into Newark NJ and back then almost the whole state was pretty far to the right... but I knew a few the ended up in either Sfran or LA... but then there were more than a few protesters that ended up with broken noses and jaws too....you never saw that on the news...

This is why even though I know someone's gonna chime and say that I'm biased and so is my enws source, I watch FoxNews. I know there's a lot of accusations of bias, but I also feel that they seem the least biased and most straight-forward amongst the media networks. And they show the most support for America's fighting men and women.

About two years ago, I was at Sky Harbor Airport waiting for my then fiance to return from Baltimore. As I was waiting, there was a man with a sign that said Cpl. Mendoza, and a US flag drawn on the sign.
His son was coming back from Afghanistan, and his dad was waiting to pick him up. As his son came out of the terminal, the Dad started crying, dropped his sign and ran over to hug his son, still in his BDUs, with his ruck on.
All of the rest of the people waiting around starting clapping, and the some of us let out some Hoo-ahs. The two stood there in disbelief as folks were clapping for them and cheering the guy on.
The scene brought tears to my eyes, and my wife's. I don't think I'll ever forget that day.
