Best year HP D30??

I have a line on an HP D30 from an 86 XJ.. It's not vac disco. Am I going to have any problems swapping parts from the D30 under my ZJ, which is from a 00TJ??

Anything bad about these older D30s, or they all pretty much the same? I heard the brakes and bearings might be different, but no one can confirm.

The brakes are different. The braket that the caliper mounts to is part of the knuckle and the calipers are not interchangeable from newer models. The best years for HP D30 would be '97-'99 out of an XJ, I believe those used the larger 297 joint. In '00 the started to install the LP D30, same as the TJ.
