View Full Version : other vehicle drive on your tire

We have this event at school and i want to park my XJ on our home built rti ramp, and then have my friend in the 1/2 ton pickup on 36's park on my 32's, Is this bad for anything? It would be for like 3 hours.

i dont think the time frame will have much to do with it.. i've seen it done and i thought there were incredible stresses put on both trucks by climbing the tires.. will it break any thing? probably not... but i wouldnt do it to my rig..

why don't you drive on his tires instead so if anything breaks its on his truck not yours, hehe.

me and my buddy in his cj do this every wednesday at our local car show we have got six jeep stacked in a line one on the others tire. my jeep has 31 inch tires and i can climb a 36 inch swamper with no problem. we call it jeep stacking.

hm... last time i tried i could not get on his 36 with my 32, maybe with us on asphalt that will help. guess i will try tomorrow

it looks so pretty with my little 31 all flexed on 36 i will try to post a pic tommorow. asphalt definately helps

Seems kinda odd to me unless you're locked that a 31 could climb up the underside of a 36. I guess I've never tried it but I would think you'd break something before the front axle would move back and up to get over the 36.

where the pics at i cant get on a 36 tsl radial with my 32 tsl/sx is there a special angle i need to go at...even thought i tried like 20 already

ryan2l, think about it this way. Take a golf ball and a baseball and sit them against each other. Then without lifting the golf ball, push it up and over the baseball. Tired yet....? See how the golf ball would have to climb backwards to get on the baseball.....that's like your 32 underneath a 36. I guess you could try going up the sidewall, then turning onto the tread, but I sure wouldn't chance you running into the side of my rig like that.

we did it again at our local car show last night. but i let my freind with 36 drive on my 31. when i get off work i will try to remeber to post the pics.

I would think that if you placed a ramp against the bigger tire, then ran up the ramp you may be high enough to be able to climb upwards rather than backwards.

Just a thought........
