Better off getting a power inverter and plugging in a hair dryer aimed at your intake. Don't forget to take the heating coil out first!

Is the motor variable speed and adjust to a throttle imput? Or do you flip the switch and you get a constant speed? If so, wouldn't the "blower" actually slow incoming air if the engine itself sucks it in at a faster rate?
It kind of looks like a $7.99 air horn at Autozone.

I can't believe ebay doesn't ban these stupid things. The only thing these wastes of money will do is lighten your wallet.

After a little searching, I found this:

When I was much younger, and much less knowledgable (5th grade), a friend and I took his mom's electrolux and set it up to run backwards. Then we hooked the hose to the carb on the family lawn mower. I can't say we increased the HP of that poor Briggs 3 horse, but it kept us busy for an hour or two. The real drawback was the power cord ;)

Most of these are only rated for engines up to 2.3L. It may work on a 2.5 powered XJ, but it would not do anything for a 4.0L. Most likely a waste of money for either.
