View Full Version : What to do with my 85 2.5L XJ?

I have an 85 2.5L, auto XJ just sitting in my yard. It runs, drives, has near new tires on it. Can't seem to get rid of it.....

Any Ideas?

Pull the slump v6 out and put in a small block. read the artical from may of JP Magazine. or send it my way for 100 bucks.

How much do you want for it is it a manual tranny? Let me know I am looking for another. I'm in Oklahoma.

my bad i only say pre 87 and 2.somthing. so i just thought it was a v6. i almost bought a 86 with the V6 and my father who has worked on Jeeps for 25 years told me it was the worst motor ever. no power. again my bad.

I could use it as a parts-donnor for my 1984 Chief!

No seriously, you could make a nice truck out of it! Have a look at mine. Of course, with XJs being so popular in USA, it doesn't pay to improve that old one, but still, if it is alive, why not?
