Reprogram the engine with a PC

Found a great place on kits for making your own engine computer and programming it. Looks exceptionally good for pre-96 Jeeps, although I got onto it looking at IAC controllers... Also looks like it's an open project...

I'm familiar with the Megasquirt...my buddy put one in to his 79 olds which has a twin turbo 350 under the hood. I did the tuning for him.

The system is pretty sweet, cheap and reliable. There are several guys running it on wheeling rigs. The support on the forums is top notch and best of all it all can be done under 200 bucks. How is that for tuneable EFI

One caution is that tuning is a lot harder than most people think. It would be real easy on the right kind of dyno. Longest part is tuning the cold start and warm-up characteristics since you have to wait for cold weather.
