Anybody watch Monster Garage tonight? Gotta say...coolist car they have built in a long long time.
Too bad they used a bronco for the 4wd componets though.

Didn't see it, but it's a good thing they didn't use XJ components or they wouldn't have ended up getting any tools at the end.

I like it except for the bumper, wheels, and light bar. All way to out of place

what was the challenge?

what was the challenge?
Well....They stripped a bronco...took the drivetrain and put it under there....Redid all the wood...Built two surfboards.
The wood alone they said would normaly take 100 hours to do...They did it six days.....Sounds like a challenge to me.

I thought the Pikes Peak episode was a tad lame, Jesse throwing a temper tantrum over the headers not fitting.......are 73-88 2wd truck front clips that hard to come by in SoCal that they had to graft in a Ford clip that created numerous build issues? Guess it makes for more drama........love that reality TV, will someone donate me $20K in parts? I promise I'll make a video of it and slap all the stickers they send on my new rig........

Actually that's why they used Bronco parts, Jesse said he was tired of using bling free stuff and wanted to recycle parts.

Granted they still got a lot of free stuff, but at it was a decent change.

I hardly call $20K in free stuff "cutting back" .......and the Bronco front end just cost them more work, a 2wd GM truck frontend would have been simple.

Getting 4wd out of a 2wd front end would be simple too. :)

the guy who painted the surfboards is a pinstripe god! I haven't seen one bad job yet.
And I know American Chopper is somewhat of a hack show but I still watch it cause I think they do build some pretty nice bikes bt they could cut back on the chatting and they wouldnt have any problem with a deadline. But what is the deal with there painters? I have missed a few episodes but I have also seen 4 or 5 different painters do their bikes.

Supposedly the Ford clip would out perform the GM one on the climb. Haven't seen one yet where he doesn't modify the pipes tho.
