"Q" on sway bar drop braket

i want to make mine. i was thinking about using a 2X4 6" long with a 45 cut on each side, then cut it down the middel so it with be a 2x2 c channel after. my queston is sound i get 1/8 or 1/4?

If I remember correctly, mine were 3/16" (long gone)

But if you are that worried, do 1/4"....overkill, but it's your Jeep.
