Airbag light...

I changed out the steering box on my '01 XJ, and had to slide the steering shaft up to install it. The airbag light is on now, do I just need to disconnect the battery to clear this?

That would be the easiest and my fist test

also look at your fuse block - check them - maybe you hit something and blew a fuse?
