XJ vs. ZJ Roof Rails

I am debating purchasing a Roof Rack from a ZJ owner. I have been told that the XJ and the ZJ have the same width with the factory Roof Rails. Can anyone vouch that that is true? I don't have a ZJ to go out and measure.

As far as I know, they are not the same size.

What about Width? I might be able to order ups some new Rain Gutter mounts.

I've got some cross bars from a ZJ. I had to redrill the holes to fit the factory roof rails. JIM.

I have pulled and sold both XJ and ZJ racks on ebay. I can tell you that the ZJ racks are not only narrower, but slightly shorter as well. I currently don't have any ZJ racks, or I would measure them for you.
