NP242 Behind an AX-15?

I am wondering if my NP242 from my 91 limited with an AW4 will swap into my 92 Sport with an AX-15 (with an NP231 I believe)

It should work fine. The issue is the t-case input shaft spline count. The AX-15 is 23 spline, and the AW4 changed to 23 spline with the HO motor in '91......as far as I know. Someone should be able to verify that the '91 is 23 spline.
