What automatic trans would be found behind a 4 cylinder in an 85 XJ?

999? Am i correct that this transmission also bolts up to a 90 degree Small Block Chevy?

Not the 90-degree small Chevy. It also bolts up to the 60-degree V6s -- the 2.8/3.1/3.4L

If I recall there are aftermarket bell housings that will adapt it to a 90 degree
