`92 4.0 AW4 2WD (soon to be 4X) As soon as it shifts into OD at 42 MPH it starts howling at me. Not real loud, you can't even hear it if the radio is on and it only lasts 10-20 seconds. It only does this since it got cold out and it only does it the first time it shifts into OD. It does this if I warm the Jeep up before driving it or drive it cold. The noise seems to vary with vehicle speed, not engine/tranny RPM and sounds like it's coming from the front. It doesn't seem to be getting any worse but it still bugs the crap outta me. Any ideas?
