I know there have been a number of Con runs on the board lately, but I can't make any of them. Here's the two weekends I'm available 19th and the 26th. I have back channeled GaryE already, I don't care if it's backwards, forwards whatever. Maybe Gary will lead me out there. :D

If It can't be done in July :( , then it looks like I may have to wait until Sept. to do it this year.

So far I am good on those weekends as well, We should hurry up and pick one though so I can tell everyone I know I am going so nobody else decides to up and get married and kill my wheeling weekend, I mean really why can't marriages be an weekday evening thing :rolleyes: No I am not bitter :D, Just am currently loosing two weekends a month

I might be able to go. I am going camping on the Coast some weekend in July and I have to go to KY for work for a week sometime in July. I will check my calender and get back to you.

Lets go for the 26th, I know I could use the time to do some more work on my junk too.

Gary, I hope I don't put you on the spot, let us know of any special requirements.

For me, I should have the D44 done by then and have spares for the front and OEM spare steering links&rods, I'm not going to forget the rear drive shaft too. ;)

26th is good for me, the requirements I suppose would be same as for the june 21st run, whatever they are? :D know the weak parts of your junk and know how to fix it. are we doing a friday sat sun thing?

I can get Friday off, and drive up Thursday to your place or a camp site. Fri-Sun is cool with me, I may take Monday off to fix stuff or just rest after a long trip. :)

hmm I have the last weekend in June open and all except the 12th of july open so far.

Thanks Basalt we definatly don't want to be fighting the jeepers jamboree.

The only weekend I can't go is the weekend of the 19th (July). I am in th$!slow process of rebuilding my tont axle. I will probably be done in two weeks. Are we asking for trouble if we go on thd wehend of the 5th?

I read somwhere that you can't go unless you sign up for the jamboree which is around $250. They get some sort of parade permit and enforce it so that only those who sign up can go on the "parade"

Here's my schedule,
July
3-6 is a Holiday weeknd, Already have some family stuff in Paterson, may do Frank Raines

13-14 I have Drill
19-20 free
26-27 free

August
2-3 drill/Swamp Run
15-16 Dusy
The rest are free

Sept
6-7 Drill
Rest are free

Also where at the CON is the Jeep Jamboree, are there other trails that might be avialable?

The 19th of July doesn't have any "planned" runs, although I can't make it to that one. The 23rd and the 30th of August are the next "available" weekends. Of course if anyone wants to take some weekdays off then I can probably do that. Maybe we do a Thursday, Friday, Saturday thing. Maybe on the 26th of July we can do Fordyce or something?
Chuck if you wind up doing FR then let me know and I will stop by.

I can do the Thurs-Sat on the weekend of the 26th.

FR will be on the 4th, I should have my brother-in-law with me this time, but him and his wife just ahd a new baby. I'll keep you informed Zion.

If not I can do that july thing, I can probably do the thursday friday saturday thing but I would prefer a fri, saturday thing. You southeners are welcome to stay at my place if you want to break the trip up some.

I'm free the June 28 and should be able to get the 27 off. How far of a drive is it to the trail from your place? I'll either leave Thurs night and stay at your place or meet you at your place early Fri morning.

I know Zion is working on his project, unless you think he can get away with LR with 260 joints. I know he'll have spares by then.

I hope to have mine ready by then a little incentive wouldn't be a bad thing :) Shafts are easy to swap, I am down to only a couple of spares I do still have the set of non disco 297s though.

I'm interested, in the them. I'll also have a set of 260 non-dis spares with hubs. How much do you want for them, are they the true 297's or the reemed out ones?

I should be able to do the 28th. I am trying to upgrade my axle shafts to 297's but I still want to have my disconnect which only existed in a 95 YJ. Any idea how hard it is to find a right shaft out of a 95 YJ? I finally found one in Nebraska and it should be here in a few days. I have located a left shaft at a local yard, I have a lock right sitting on my work bench and I have a diff cover ready to be transformed into a mad max diff cover.
Gary, when you put in that valve on your vacuum disconnect, which line did you put it on? Or does it even matter?
My next two saturdays are booked but maybe I can get it all done in the week nights.

I don't even remember Zion, its a little trial and error, there are three lines one is for the indicator light and the others are to apply vac to each side of the diaphram. hmm yours may have the electric switch on the vac fork for the indicator light.

The one thing that stumped me was that you have to put the one side open to atmoshperic pressure before you suck it over to the other side.

I am not sure Chuck, I should be able to take friday off, but probably not friday. The "boss" just hired more salesman so I may be swamped:rolleyes: I have my LAs tacked together, will be welding them tuesday. then I need to do a Praire city run to make sure nothing falls off :) but I should be done for the 27th to 28th.

This weekend we had a fun time at Bald, I'll post up some pics later tonight. So 27-29 sound good, Then I may leave work early on Thurs and maybe stay up at your place.
