are the 79 ford bronco 9's the same wms to wms?

Yes, '78-79 Bronco is the same as F150 width.

also, 57-72 F100 9" housings are 61" WMS to WMS.

No, they are all 28 spline those years. You can make them 31 spline with some axles from Currie and 31 spline differential side gears.
The best ones are 68-72, they have a slightly improved housing with the big bearings and brakes. I just scored one for a friend of mine for fifty bones. He's setting it up for his YJ, and is going to leave it 28 spline until it breaks.

78 is 31 spline
