New Distributor?? any Ideas

i have a 93 with the 6I HO. i think the gear at the bottow of my distributor is going bad and im gettin some play in it and it causing a knockin sound that only occurs when the vehicle is out of gear. im thinking about replacing the distributor and i want to know if there are any performance distributors that i can get to increase horse power? email me at drwells@cedarville.net or post a reply and ill try to get back to read it.

There is on available I belive but IMHO just agat a stock one and buy a good set of plug wires. Many companys amke 8mm wires for the 4.0 so take you pick. any other mod would some good plugs to go with those wires. I prefer the bosch +4s they work very good if you have good wires.
