Jerry Harrison, our chapter Land Use Director, keeps himself out of trouble during the day by teaching Auto Shop at BEHS in Brigham City. We had our BOD meeting up there in Jan and his shop is well equipped to fix just about anything you need fixing. So here's the deal.......Jerry has arranged to host a Saturday "Adult Continuing Education Course" specifically for our chapter that will allow you to use the HS shop to fix, build or repair your Jeep.
Some of the equipment available for use is as follows:
OxyAcet. Torch
Lincoln 220 MIG Welder
Hyd Exhaust tubing bender with some Flowmasters and tubing in stock
Steam Pressure washer
2 Vehicle Hoists
Engine Analyzer
Air Tools
Hand Tools
Foot Tools
Calipers
Dial indicators
Engine hoists
And plenty of stuff I'm sure that I've forgotten...............
In order to meet school requirements and justify opening up the shop on Saturday and the use of electricity, water and welding consumables, a use fee must be payed to the school to participate. Here's how that shakes out...........
We need at least 6 people to participate.
Each will pay $50.00 for 4 sessions, $40 will go to the school, $10 will go to support our chapter.
Each session will be 4 hours long, which breaks down to about $3.00 per session........might cheap shop time here folks!
(Generic disclaimer: Parts not included, vehicle owner must supply....but there are some significant discounts available on aftermarket lifts, tires and performance parts through Jerry as well, contact him directly regarding these.)
The sessions will be held on Saturday's running from 11am to 3pm. There will be those that may not need to work on their rig but will be there to help others, you guys wanted some wrench days.........now you've got them!! This is a great opportunity to use this valuable resource, as well as get others together to help work your rig.
To contact Jerry Harrison with any questions, he can be reached during the work week at Jerry.Harrison@besd.net.
