Is anyone going to this, it appears that there is going to be an emphasis on off-road. I am trying to get a few friends together to make the trip up there (if we can find a little jap car that gets good mileage). Being poor college kids we want to make this trip cheap, anyone know of a cheap campground near indy?

SEMA Offroad is a trade event. Qualified members of the automotive industry are permitted to register on-line. You will be required to show proof of your trade status (i.e. business card or business license) when you arrive at the event.

What if I said I worked at an offroad shop, and brought a business card.

Actually I just thought of this, I'm a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers, could that maybe help my chances?

do you work in any form of manufacturing?

if so, call any vendors who will be exhibiting or have at least, corporate relationships with those who are. If this is anything like Fabtech, IMTS, Metalform, etc,etc there should be a way to get passes through suppliers/vendors

Well I sent em an email that is more or less begging (in a very professional way) them to let me in. Hey it never hurts to ask, I guess I'll see what happens.
