On my 2000 xj, i thought i heard a leak coming from the rear section of mly exhuast also stock, i noticed the same little pin hole in the muffler (front end) i'm assuming used to drain the exhaust condesation? Well, if this is what the hole is for i obviously wont plug it but my main question is, should it actually be blowing exhaust condesation out the hole w/ such force that it makes my catalytic converter wet?? or should it only drip straight down, maybe my muffler is partially clogged, Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Yeah, its there to drain excess condensation from your exhaust. Notice how in the mornings when you start your rig up there will be moisture coming from your exhaust pipe? Thats totally normal, if you drive longer trips it will all evaporate away, but if you just drive short trips around town it will stay there. Thats why I had a Blazer that the stock exhaust lasted over 200K, its was all hwy miles on it.
