Wiper Motor Woes

So far I have purchased 2 wiper assemblies and the both have the wrong plug! I have a '93 with intermittant wipers. But the plugs are different. The one I need is a kind of hard plastic oval shaped. What I get is a soft rubber round one. I know I can swap pig tails, but why all the confusion?

Dealer or aftermarket? Looks like you got a earlier model like 84-91.
