Anybody else seen it?

If you haven't, you're missing out on one of the funniest movies made. It's about a High School geek in Idaho and his Mexican friend that will remind you of at least one guy you went to school with. Others in the movie are his 32 year old dorky brother who still lives at home and chats with hot chicks on the internet and is in training to become a cage fighter. Let's not forget his uncle who sells Tupperware and is stuck in '82.

On my list, it ranks in the top 3 with "The Big Lebowski" and "The Master of Disguise"

It's at least a must-rent.

didn't he do that movie on no budget whatsoever? Thought it was like a highschool project that he did that everybody really loved. Maybe I am wrong though.

Yeah, THAT was in B&W, but they made a full length movie from it (in color) and it's great.

The project is in the features of the DVD.

Fawking loved it.
Thing is, the first time the wyfe and I saw it was on a cruise ship in Oct.
The TV on the ship only got 7 channels.
One had 'The Punisher' on endless loop, one had 'Bobby Jones: Stroke of Genious' on endless loop, one had 'Garfield' on endless loop, and the last had 'Napoleon Dynamite' on endless loop.
Needless to say, it was less funny the eighth time I saw it, because the remaining channels were highlights of the cruise.
No news, no ESPN, no motorcars, not a single luxury.
'Gimme some of your tots!'
I will still buy it, though.

Yeah, it was great. Lots of 80's references. I was trying to figure out where it so based until I saw 1 of the classmates jackets with some Idaho reference. Good movie. And is Napolean a great dancer or what? :laugh3:

The first time it wasnt all that great, because my friends hyped it up so much I was expecting something awsomely funny. But the second time, well thats a different story. This movie is hilarious! I haven't been able to stop quoting it since I saw it last week.

My daughter gets teased a little sometimes by the bigger kids and I told Vallaya that we should move to Idaho. From what I've seen, she'd be the coolest kid in school.

I found it to be about as intellectually stimulating as a Pauly Shore film.

own. great.

"Don: Hey, Napoleon. What did you do last summer again?
Napoleon Dynamite: I told you! I spent it with my uncle in Alaska hunting wolverines!
Don: Did you shoot any?
Napoleon Dynamite: Yes, like 50 of 'em! They kept trying to attack my cousins, what the heck would you do in a situation like that?
Don: What kind of gun did you use?
Napoleon Dynamite: A freakin' 12-gauge, what do you think? "

this movie is about my little brother.

I didn't enjoy it as much as I would have because all my friends saw it a couple weeks before me and they quoted it to death before I even saw it.

LMFAO all through it. Funniest to me was that my oldest son went through a stage when he talked just like that kid.
I kept thinking, "Hah! that's Niko, dead on."

I watched it twice on the plane coming here to PA. I was laughing so hard on the plane people were looking at me funny. I then tried to show it to the family, cousins, aunts and uncles, and my mom said you had to be stoned to think it was funny. What ever, I think it is great.

I think I need to watch it again, because I just don't get all the fuss about it. I think maybe it was built up to much and I'll like it more the second time--or at least I hope so.

If you grew up in school with someone like Napoleon, you will think it's hilarious, because it hits so close to home.
If you WERE Napoleon, you wouldn't really understand what all the fuss is about.
I think that's why folks love this movie, because almost everyone knows a Napoleon and can relate to at least 81% of what goes on in the movie.

Whats sad, is that the whole time I was laughing, I was thinking of my older brother.

Had the weird afro kink, glasses, and weird ass shirts, and was a loner like him too.

I tried telling my mom to watch it so she could see how much Nap was like my brother, but she passed.

Funniest part:

...It took me three hours to finish the shading on your upper lip. By far the best drwing I have ever done....

Other than seeing Lincoln as the Uncle, and XXXXX as the grandmother, it was one of the stupidest movies I have ever seen. I did remind me of the few times I have been to Idaho... but never thought they would make a movie that boring. Amazing.

Later that night, I had some wine and watched it again. Much funnier then. Not one I will ever buy the DVD of though.

Yup the male tigers and female lions(I might be swithching them around) both have a growth stopping hormones. So they take a female tiger and a male lion and combine them to make a massive beast. They are so lazy though. Just lay around and eat
