a friend of mine in new hampshire clued me in on this place called mount madness. if u google search and go to mount madness new hampshire, you will find it. its privately owned property it seems and it says off road club coming soon on the web site. my buddy has met the guy and had wheeled there already so there is open terrain to go on. as far as a whole club chapter going, we should call and get details. i think it would be a good place to get the north east chapter to meet and wheel legally. but first, lets get details.

that would be awesome but I thought it got bogged down and never actually opened to the public, although I know people have wheeled there on invitation. I periodically followed the progress on NEOW for the last year and a half, it's on the property of the old Mt Whittier ski area isn't it?

it mentions snowboard terrain park on the grounds so it probably is the ski area. my friend seems to know the owner so i could always throw a phone call and have him ask if we can bring a pack of jeeps.

it sounds great.. but i too was under the impression that the ORV park was "stalled" most likely from red-tape... been waiting for more information to come around..

That place is about 15-20 miles from me. If I remember correctly, they were planning on building a road course there (MC and auto). Last I heard, they had all the paperwork and environmental impact tests together, started construction, and then a bunch of new to the area "locals" decided it mught be too noisy and petitioned to have all work stopped. This area of NH is rapidly being bought up and turned into subdivisions, there isn't going to be much left in the next few. Roads are already getting much more crowded.
I'll check things out and see what is happening.
