I got my new rear springs in Sunday(RE 1462's),Im not sure Im going the like them! They seem awful stiff and the shackles are "fairly" forward, they netted 7" w/ my +3/4" shackles. The lower long arms are finally going in tomorrow and then I have to locate the upper control arm mounts. It will be interesting to see what the front springs do(RE 1345's).I think Ive opened a can of worms(possible shocks, emer.brake cables, brake lines, driveshaft, etc)

The shackles with 4.5" leafs on my rig were forward for about a week. They are perfectly vertical now :-)

Ditto on the shackle position for me. It works itself out shortly.

I have the 1462's and the 1.5" lift shackle and only have 6.5". I measure form the axle to the bumpstop. Maybe that's why all your stuff keeps rubbing. :)

Ive got a ton of pics just no good way to post them.As far as the lift goes I have been measuring off the flares. It has always worked(I compared it with a formula posted here a year ago based on the frame to ground). These are at 5.5".

I finally mounted the LCA's last night, all I have to do is weld the UCA mounts on.and install the front springs. My LCA's are mounted so high and inboard that I gave up almost no clearace and are parallel with the driveshaft. If you "zoom" in on the 2nd pic you can really see how bad the control arm angles are now along with the driveshaft being completly compressed!

How much lift did the 1463s give you?

My measurements say 7" but that was debated earlier. This is my 5th lift and I have taken down the numbers every time so I'll stand by it!

Sorry about that,I was thinking about the 1462's.They (1463's)netted 5.5" with the +3/4" shackle. The entire lift(old) is going to my buddy to replace my previous lift that he has on now(3.5").I just got the lift flexing great, now I got to start all over!

Would that be Long Arms from RE? I'm interested in how that works out if it is RE's long arm kit.
