How to extend front shocks? mounts?

Tried a search, but couldn't find the answer. I am trying to avoid buying new extended length shocks-- can I change how my current shocks are mounted to give me the extra inch or two on the front shocks? Thanks, L

Wouldn't a bar pin eliminator move up the shock mount a little?
