Little question about Rock sliders

Me and some friends are planning a run to tellico and I need rock sliders before then. Is it important to have the bolts on the pinch weld for support like most of the sliders you can buy have. or would i be ok making my own and just having them attach to the uni-body frame rails.

My C4x4's, though are good and attach to the pinch seem. I have two small dimple dents right where the mounts attach to the sq tube. I think you'll end up messing up your rockers iff you don't. I can't speak for Tellico though.

I made some real quick for mine since I figured some would be better than nothing and they actually worked really well, I beat the heck out of them and only bent one up a hair. I used dom 1.75" tubing with 2 bars welded to the frame that came out and attached to the actual slider, three bars from the fram would work just fine.
