I went to work today after a great holiday weekend to find out that the golf course I work at:

http://bayvillegolf.com/page/67-1684.htm

got vandilized hardcore saturday night. Thes little punks have some balls these days. 8 highschool kids, 7 guys, and 1 girl; broke into the cart barn and went out to play. They trashed everything. They ran on over every pin in every green on the course, they dropped 2 carts into the lakes. Little bastereds drove through all the bunkers, 72 of them, they made jumps out of native areas and crashed into tee boxs. I amigine that they were imitating a part out of the movie Jackass because several carts, like 5 had totaled front ends from being ghost ridden into trees and through fences and out on to the main road!
Carts totaled, I mean totaled, 27, 1 still mia.
The cops found the chick at 3am driving home in the golf cart 2 miles away!
What were they thinking? These kids are only 17! I know when I was in highschool we would get into are fair share of trouble, but this takes the cake. I hope everone elses kids know better than this bunch did. Total amount of damage, over $200,000 dollars!
There are going to be alot of upset parents when thay get this bill.
I am gonna bring the camra to work tomorrow, so i will post some pic's of the cart graveyard sitting in our parking lot.
Just though I would share that with everyone, I am still in amazement over the whole situation!:banghead: :hang: :twak:

<grumble> Idiots. </grumble>

I can hear the parents now: "but why do I have to pay for it? that's why YOU have insurance?!!!"

$200k? Is that ALL? I'd have thought just the totalled carts would have been most of that. And when you start counting man-hours to rebuild the stuff....

That is the estimate just for the carts, we still have to figure in all the damaged turf. I am sure old boss man will make it a lesson those kids will be paying for the next 10-15 years of there life.
heheheh

Man, that really blows. I remember in my high school days we got some carts out for a night run every now and then, but one of my buddies was the pro shop owners son so did we "really" break in??...LOL We did, however, run into a 5 gallon bucket we didnt realize were there....honest!!!!! Never once did we break a cart or tear up the greens, tee boxes, etc. I'd love to see what these idiot punks get for all this crap they did. Personally I would march my son out into the woods with a shovel and make him dig his own grave cause i would definately kill him.........LOL

Did you ever see Uncle Buck when he let the kid out of the trunk and started shooting golf balls at him? I think that would be excellent retribution... not to mention really fun and amusing for all those watching.

Next year's model will have to carry a warning label: "Unsafe for vandalism and highway use. Do not ingest."

The problem with kids- they aren't old enough to be considered "responsible" for their actions but are too big to put 'em back where they came from. :looser:

^ Worst is that you can't just post thier names, addresses and phone numbers so that the folks that are now forced to walk on a hacked-up course could "contact" them ...
