Please Help!!!

ok, i just finished the homemade posi-lok that we have all come to know and love because of the price. Everything went perfect until it got to the cable hooking to the lever inside of the cab. I have the exact same one as show in the website and i cannont for the life of me get the cable to stay attached to the bolt, is there a trick to this? Also it seems really hard to pull not sure if it is because the lever is so stiff, but how sharp of turns can you make with the cable without it making it too hard to pull?
