clutch fluid leaking onto fuse box

I just realized that there is clutch fluid all over the fuse box on my 96 sport 80,000 miles. I have owned it for 6 months and it has never lost a bit of fluid level in the clutch fill under the hood, but I am concerned about the fluid leaking out of the rubber plunger in the firewall onto the fusebox. From the amount of grime built up on the box this appears to have been going on for a long long time. I wiped down the fuse box and rubber plunger assemble, but is this safe to have fluid on the fuse box? The clutch works great and pedal pressure is very good. The only issue is has is that sometimes it will chatter a bit. Happy Holidays
