I have a manual trany AX 15, and will pull my hair out if I can’t figure out what this stupid Squeak is. It only makes the noise in 1st gear Hi range between 1000 to 1800 rpm. The trany has less than 5,000 miles since it was overhauled. The noise started about 1000 miles ago. I just replaced the clutch 10,000 miles ago and have not abused it. If it was the clutch I figure it would do it in Low range as well as other gears. I also pulled the front drive line and the squeak persists. Does anyone have any Ideas? Also not speed sensitive, rpm sensitive but only in first.
