350 chev intake manifold won't come off.

I know that this is probably not the right forum, but I need help, I have a xj, but it's tow rig died. it is an 88 chev 1500 with a 350. I blew the driver side head gasket, I have all the bolts out of the intake manifold, but it won't come off. how can i do this??? I am just about ready to torch this truck.

Distributor out? If it is, use a flat blade screw driver to pry up at the front of the block, just under the intake. The RTV can be a bitch to release sometimes.

can you hit it with a dead blow or a rubber mallet to dislodge it?
